Here at Cockermouth CC we have an incredibly rich cricket faction. We are proud to have an ever-growing Women & Girls team, a flourishing junior section and a strong senior setup.

1st XI

Our 1s play in the Premier division of the Cumbria Cricket League. As of 2022 Matthew Sempill will lead the team to what we hope will be a strong season after Gareth White ended his successful tenure as captain last year.

2nd XI

Our 2s also play in the Cumbria Cricket League within division one. Captained by the veteran and club legend Andrew Dodds the side have always been competitive and show off exciting young talent.

3rd XI

3rd team play on Sundays in the West Cumbria Cricket League. Serving as a fantastic environment for junior talent making the move into senior cricket.

At CCC we couldn't be prouder of the leaps and bounds our Women & Girls team have come on. In the space of a few years we now consistently have 30+ ladies train weekly in the cricket season and schedule matches against other local W&G teams.

The team consists of various ages and cricketing experience. It's the perfect environment for any girl, whatever the ability, to try a new sport in a positive, encouraging group.

When the W&G aren't refining their cricket skills they can be found organising the many social evenings they have as a group! To find out more please contact:

Cockermouth CC's Junior section has been a core element of the club for over 20 years and one of the key reasons why the club has had so much success. We pride ourselves on being able to provide one of the best cricket platforms for young cricket players in Cumbria.

We run hard ball cricket through u11s, u13s and u15s. We are able to deliver experienced and qualified coaches to help develop the junior players. We strive to keep training sessions fun but with drills and coaching that will help keep players interested in cricket.

All Stars is an ECB initiative designed as a fun introduction to the sport of cricket for kids aged between 5 - 8 years old. We have been part of the registered programme for a few years now and can comfortably say it's been a roaring success. Year-on-year we get record levels of children involved in All Stars.

It's an ideal environment to have your children develop their social skills, make new friends and begin their adventure into cricket so what are you waiting for?
